Two SD peaks reported to the police for embezzlement – Aftonbladet

Two top politicians in Sweden Democrats have been reported to the police for embezzlement.

The MP Johan Nissinen and party board member Anne Karlsson suspected to have embezzled several hundred thousand.

Both denies the offense.

– A preliminary investigation has been initiated, confirm Niclas Abrahamsson at Jönköping police.

Johan Nissinen and Anne Karlsson has in recent years got heavier and heavier tasks within the Sweden Democrats. Nissinen got a parliamentary seat after the elections in 2014 and Karlsson was elected to the SD National Executive of the country meeting in November 2015.

The two have previously campaigned together in SD district in Jönköping, where Nissinen was chairman and Karlsson Board member until to March 2015. Aftonbladet can now reveal that both have been reported to the police for embezzlement from the district treasury.

the notification was submitted on 19 January this year and was made by a party colleague of the two in the district. Police have launched a preliminary investigation.

According to Aftonbladet experience applies notification ambiguities in the records of the party district and the alleged embezzlement of between 300 000 and 400 000.

SD peaks denying crimes

Johan Nissinen, who through his parliamentary mandate, among other things, is a deputy in the Council of Europe Swedish delegation, knows the notification made against him. He denies the charges completely.

– The district’s annual meeting has given discharge and auditors urged that it would be approved. Then, no one protested. So there is really no basis for a notification. It is over a year now and it’s probably just someone who is pissed something and want to harm the party. I think that’s a shame.

Anne Karlsson, who also sits as a member of the SD of the City council in Värnamo, provide written comment to Aftonbladet. She writes that the former board of the district have been granted discharge at all annual meetings.

– For the rest, I have no comments.

“The police must find out”

When Johan Nissinen left the post of chairman of the district in Jönköping was Björn Forsell who took over. He says now that he knows that it lodged a police report against his predecessor.

– But I have not spoken to the police yet, they hear well of themselves. If they will then request any records so I can leave it in this case. But as long as they do not react I do nothing about it.

Have there been any irregularities in the records of the district to what you know?

– I do not want to say anything, it gets the cops find out. But at the annual meeting last year, approved the financial statements by the auditors. But it’s never fun with a police report and there is nothing that favors the party either.

Not been in contact with the party leadership

Bjorn Forsell has not been in contact with SD’s party leadership on notification.

– No, I have just informed the national Ombudsman that the notification is made, and I have sent a copy to him in the paper I got from the police.

the national Ombudsman Peter Sigurbjörnsson (SD) is taciturn when Aftonbladet reaches him.

– I have heard of the police, but do not know all the details. There is nothing that I even going to comment on.

Inspector Niclas Abrahamsson at the unit for fraud in Jonkoping police say they will continue working on the case.

– But what then gives the extension is difficult to say. Rubric is embezzlement and an investigation is underway, more than that I’m not going to say right now, he says.
