Suspected mosque burners on trial – Västerbotten Courier

After the questioning of a 31 year old man arrested on suspicion of having erected mosque fire in Boras becomes prosecutor now increasingly confident in their cause.

– the suspicion is simply not strong enough, said prosecutor Martin Ekelin to Borås Tidning.

He expects to ask the man in custody on Friday.

– Then I come closer to present what the suspicion is made of.

Martin Ekelin would not comment on newspaper reports that it is the person arrested as seen on surveillance footage from a gas station near the mosque shortly before the fire. In the images seen a person filling the petrol in bottles.

The 31-year-old has denied the crimes, and that he was harboring hostile opinions about Muslims or immigrants.

The fire in the mosque, which is housed in a municipally owned property in central Boras, took place the night of January 17.
