a study by Norwegian, American and Swedish researchers shows that the high school students who went to bed between 22 and 23 on weekday evenings had a better average than those who lay down later. The less sleep, the worse was the grades, according to the study published in the Journal of Sleep Research, where close to 8,000 young people included. It also showed that the grades were affected for the worse if you lay much later on weekends than on weekdays.
“Our findings indicate that previous bedtime, and to encourage similar sleep routine during the week, is important for the academic performance, “says lead author Marie Hysing in a press release.
