Much of Dalarna was hit last night by an extensive power outage. In Falun and Borlänge it was “pitch black”. In Gagnef, Leksand Ludvika, Mora, Orsa, Rättvik, Vansbro and Älvdalen was close to 12 000 households affected at 03 o’clock, reports Dalarna Newspapers.
The electricity company Ellevio stated that 30,000 of their customers were affected but that most regained power early in the morning.
According dt.se be one of the newspaper employees have seen a huge ball of light in the sky before power is lost.
There is still no information about what which caused the power outage. Emergency services around the county were called out several times when most automatic alarms went off when power is lost. Dala Police do not report on any additional events in the county because of the incident.
