Man hit by train – Västerbotten Courier

A man in his 45-year-old was hit by a passenger train at Optand outside Östersund on Sunday afternoon.

– He has not observed the train coming at high speed. He is taken to hospital but I do not know what injuries he has received, says Magnus Hamstig, duty officer at the police in Jämtland.

The man walked along the track with several other people at the time of the accident. The others got away in time.

– Some of them went to a house and sounded the alarm. We have tried to question them, but it has been difficult due to language problems.

The train that runs between Sundsvall, Östersund and continued on without noticing anything. There is no suspicion of a crime.
