So honored Palme – 30 years after the murder – Aftonbladet

In today marked 30 years of grief, memories and questions without answers.

On February 28, 1986 murder of Olof Palme and Sweden honoring Prime Minister crane installations and memorial services.

Prime Minister Olof Palme was honored Sunday with a crane closures at the grave site of Adolf Fredrik cemetery in Stockholm.

Stefan Löfven and Jämtin walked along the front with the big bouquet of roses and put it on grave.

– There is a wound that has not healed, said Stefan Löfven.

Jämtin dressed in a white coat and Löfven in black coat. At his side the Prime Minister had his wife, Ulla Löfven.

They stood silent for 30 seconds and then gave room for more people who wanted to honor Olof Palme Memorial.

The Prime Minister was noticeably moved by the moment and say that this is yet another reminder of grief.

– it was unbelievable and I did not think it was true. I listened then more and more on the radio and put a whole morning and tried to take in what had happened, said a hoarse Stefan Löfven when he received the news.

Do you think that the assassination of Olof Palme will ever get a solution?

– Lisbet Palme says firmly that she believes that it was Christer Pettersson and then I think about it.

“complete shock”

Social Democrat party secretary Carin Jämtin tells Aftonbladet that she received the news when she stood and did the dishes.

– It was in complete shock. Someone has said that Sweden change when it happened and I think, she says.

How do you think the Social Democrats changed between 1986 and today?

– I think the question is not correct. Time has changed, says Jämtin and mentions among other apartheid cessation, expanded kindergarten activities, the female employment rate and world situation.

She describes Palme as an important person who had a fair pathos and fought for equal rights for everybody.

During the day in many places in the country to be held memorial services in various forms. In Stockholm, will be held Memorial Day at Kulturhuset, where Prime Minister Stefan Löfven start the day at 15:00 and then followed by, among others, Mona Sahlin, Margot Wallström and Ingvar Carlsson.
