Unclear future for abandoned babies – Västerbotten Courier

Social Services has taken care of an infant left in the Migration Board’s premises in Norrköping. A woman left the child, who is reported to be less than one year, in the arms of another woman in the room and explained that she would visit the toilet, but never came back.

The social services are bound to secrecy in individual cases, but can answer generally about what can happen to children who urgently end up in its care.

the woman with the baby in her arms handed it to a security guard, who understood that something was not right. After a while, discovered a note on the child, written in French: “Take care of me and my siblings.”

Some other children have not been found by the police, Immigration Service and Social Services after the baby was left on Thursday afternoon .
