One died when the car flipped and caught fire – Aftonbladet

A 69-year-old man has died after a car voltat out of a field of Värmland.

A person in a subsequent car pulled out the man and his wife out car – which then caught fire.

– had he not done that, both burned inside, says Stefan Sundberg at the Värmland police.

the accident occurred at half past seven o’clock on Sunday evening at County Road 240 outside Väse in Värmland.

the driver of a car lost control and the vehicle flipped on a field.

in the car traveled a 69 year-old man and a 67-year-old woman.

– a subsequent saw that the car was out on the field and stopped and pulled them out. After the car began to burn, says Stefan Sundberg, county spokesman at Värmland police, to Aftonbladet.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene were both out of the vehicle and emergency responders could start with lifesaving efforts and then turn off the car.

“did what they could”

an ambulance was linked into the work, but the woman and the man was taken by regular ambulance to the Central Hospital in Karlstad.
police said initially that the man was woman seriously injured and slightly milder.

the man’s life was not to save.
– Yes, unfortunately it ended so unfortunate. The rescue did what they could on the spot, but then we received a letter from the hospital that he had been found dead. Then it took some time before the family was informed, so we had to wait a bit before we could go out with this data, says Stefan Sundberg.

Can get a medal

The man’s wife was late Sunday night in the hospital.

– She’s not seriously injured. There was no concussion and no elbow, says Stefan Sundberg.

He wants to say a big thank you to the man who pulled the couple out of the car.

– Had he not done that, both burned inside. We’ll see if we can find him and give him a medal.

According to the police, it was very slippery at the scene.

– It’s right on the zero. This is the likely explanation for the accident, said Stefan Sundberg.
