Suspect in attempted murder released – Västerbotten Courier

A 16-year-old boy has been released on the loose by the District Court in Östersund. But according to local media, he is still suspected of an assassination attempt outside a supermarket in Froson on Sunday night.

The boy’s young age is one of the reasons that he was released and that an arrest was feared to cause serious harm to him.

a 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of complicity in attempted murder, while a 19-year-old was released and is no longer suspected of any crime, reports Östersunds-Posten newspaper.

the victim is 19 years old and cared still hospitalized in serious but not life-threatening knife injuries. Something motive for the incident is not known, but witnesses have seen several people arguing outside the grocery store.

All the suspects have denied the charges.
