A young man was shot dead by three men after he tracked down his missing cellphone to the trio, announces Canadian police.
The 18-year-old Jeremy Cook used an app to track his phone, which he had forgotten in a taxi, a fast food restaurant in the city of London near Canada’s largest city Toronto. After an exchange of the three men tried to run away, but Cook grabbed the vehicle.
His bullet-riddled body was found later near with the phone. Police are searching for the perpetrators who are said to be in his 20s.
– It was not the app that led to his death. To have and use an app to find their phone is not bad at all, that’s great, said police officer Ken Steeves.
