The death rate from cardiovascular diseases almost halved among people with type 1 diabetes if they use an insulin pump instead of insulin injections.
It shows the Swedish scientists in a new study, writes Upsala Nya Tidning.
– An insulin pump is not suitable for everyone with type 1 diabetes, but our results underscore the importance of all patients
who wish to have the kind of treatment also has access to it, says diabetes physician Sophia Gudbjörnsdottir to UNT.
