Lööf: Raise taxes on hazardous electrical – Aftonbladet

Annie Lööf kicks in once the political week with a tax gambit in the billions.

The Centre Party wants to reduce taxes significantly for workers and small business owners but also introduce a new tax on chemicals including computers and washing machines.

– While the government carries out a red tax increase we choose a green tax, says C-leader.

Annie Lööf today will be the first speaker in Almedalen is the twelfth time she visits political week in Visby. Aftonbladet can tell that she during the day presents a comprehensive reform package in just under four billion related to green tax. The proposals will be included in the party’s autumn budget.

The foundation is a financial report that the party worked with a long time.

– Sweden is an environmental role model in the world. We have been able to reduce the tax burden on jobs and business, thus strengthening our growth. At the same time, we have reduced our emissions. There is also the challenge ahead, says Annie Lööf.

She is very critical of the current government policy.

– They raise taxes on everything. There are no green taxes, there is a red tax increase.

“create jobs”

C has long fought for lower payroll taxes and with today’s proposals, wants to go even further. The party wants to self-employed will not have to pay payroll tax for their first employees during the first two years.

– This means that the biggest hurdle that many self-employed experience disappears. This will lead to thousands of jobs created, says Loof.

At the same time C implement the raising of the lower threshold for the state income tax. That means lower taxes for 1.1 million workers receive lower taxes, 50,000 of them will not completely pay state income tax.

– Diligence and education will pay off. It will also, the research shows, lead to more hours worked and higher growth, says Loof.

The tax cuts will mostly be paid with the introduction of new chemicals taxes, one on flame retardants in electrical and one on phthalates in flooring – and building products.

“no effect,”

The former Alliance government appointed an inquiry about a chemical tax, which is now complete, and C are buying outright. The more hazardous and toxic chemicals found in a product, the higher the tax.

– The goal of chemicals taxes are reducing the presence of hazardous substances in people’s home, says Loof.

But the plans a chemical tax has not been successful among traders. The industry organization Swedish Trade has said that the tax will be ineffective and in addition risk hitting hard against the electronics industry already on its knees.

– It is quite natural that an industry will react in this way, but our proposal gives the back corresponding to SEK business in the form of reduced taxes on jobs and entrepreneurship, says Annie Lööf.

C-conductor believe the reform package has a good chance to become Alliance Politics in the future.

– I am convinced that a strong’s Centre can succeed with this.
