Several seriously injured in traffic accident – Aftonbladet

Three people have been hospitalized with serious injuries after a traffic accident in Uddevalla municipality.

– They were cut loose from the cars, said rescue leader Magnus Lagrell.

The accident occurred at Herrestadssjön on road 44 in Bohuslän shortly after at 15 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon.

– When we received the alarm, it was said that it was two cars and a truck, possibly carrying dangerous goods involved. But when we arrived it turned out that it was mainly passenger cars that had been involved. It was a car that had come in quite high speed and drove into the stern of the truck and then crossed over the road and hit a car in the hand, said rescue leader Magnus Lagrell.

A total of four people taken to hospital, three in the ordinary ambulance and the ambulance, writes Bohusläningen.

– There were two people in each car. Three of them sat in the cars and got cut off, one was slightly injured and had taken out under its own power. The three persons are seriously injured.

The people must, however, have been conscious during the entire rescue operation.
