Malmo plagued by 30 criminals – Göteborgs-Posten

Shots, bombs and grenades. In half a year, Malmö has repeatedly been hit by violent clashes between criminal. People who are not afraid to use clean weapons of war in the midst of ordinary people.

This weekend, two hand grenades were thrown against an apartment block in Malmö. Fortunately they never exploded. The use of deadly weapons in public places worries police.

Accessibility is something that worries us a lot, it really is that simple to get hold of this, the police said Patrik Johansson.

He works as chief of staff of the special commanding police drawn up in connection with the trial in the case of explosions against real estate Victoria Park in December. For example, the police have an increased presence in the area including The mansion in Rosengård.

Different groupings

Overall, this is a relatively limited group of around 30 criminals Police have extra eye on. There are no gangs, rather loosely connected groups that change over time. And several violent incidents have in common with the ongoing trial.

What happened out on the manor house and outside on Seved tangent to each other, and we have seen some contexts. But elsewhere does not, says Ewa-Gun Westford, police spokesperson.

However, what network attacks together is the violent methods, which at any time can not only hit the intended targets, but also innocent.

It has no self-preservation, and no consideration for others, says Patrik Johansson.

Several cases can be resolved

But not everything is pitch dark, the police think they can solve several of the cases. Blasting toward Victoria Park has de facto already reached the courtroom.

It is a success indeed. And we are in the middle of an investigation of the two hand grenades, and from my perspective, we have high hopes of being able to reach a prosecution of it, says Ewa-Gun Westford.

The shootings more common

According to Daniel Vesterhav, Acting Head of the Crime Prevention Council, well, criminal gangs increasingly heavy armed and shootings in public places has become more common over the past 10-15 years.

We talk about easily offended individuals when they feel aggrieved passes to act to uphold his honor. It can be about a car deal gone awry, an unpaid drug debt or something really trivial as someone has talked to someone else’s girlfriend for a long time, says Daniel Vesterhav.
