The comet lander Philae again showed signs of life on Friday after five days of rest, reports the European Space Agency ESA. Comet lander managed to send two signals in two minutes with seventeen minutes.
Philae, a refrigerator big lander that traveled into space with the space probe Rosetta, was released in November last year. But the speed was high when it landed on the comet Churyunov-Gerasimenko and the Philae tumbled into a deep sink. In a few days could transmitter to send signals to the historic visit, but then took the batteries out.
On Sunday gained the lander new energy when the comet came out of the shadow and reached by sunlight, which charged batteries. When the space authorities could receive signals for two minutes, whereupon Philae again stopped. Friday’s statement about new signals is increasing hope of comet lander has awoken really out of dormancy.
