– It was a necessary, but not fun decisions, says army leader Göran Andersson to the transmitter.

The Swedish Salvation Army was formed in 1905 from the international Salvation Army of a splinter group which was dissatisfied with central control from London. In recent years, the army turned against an aging and shrinking with age up crowd. In total there are more than 200 soldiers.

 
        
             
     
     
 

However, there is good money. Community has in recent years sold several buildings and 90 million transferred to a foundation that will support the remaining corps and soldier groups.

Lieutenant Margaret Tollin, grandson of the founder Caleb Swensson-Tollin, opposed the closure decision.
