A truck with gravel’ve run into a bridge over E6 at Onsala summit south of Kungsbacka. Expect long queues in the afternoon.
A truck with gravel have run straight into a bridge that crosses the E6 at Onsala junction south of Kungsbacka. The alarm came at 10.30 states Trafikverket.
– The truck seems to have run with uppfält platform, it has driven straight into the bridge, says Martin Jansson who drove past the crash site.
Another witness on the site says that the truck bogged down large parts of the bridge. The railing is completely destroyed.
No person shall have been injured in the accident.
One lane on the E6 highway in the southbound direction and one lane on the road 940, towards Onsala, are turned off.
Salvage work is expected to last all day. Even the railing of the bridge on route 940 must be repaired before the bridge opens to traffic. Transport Administration expects to major disruptions in afternoon traffic.
– You can expect long queues in the afternoon, says Helena Bjerninge, traffic manager at the Swedish Transport Administration.
