When older people are becoming victims of fraud is often done at home. The most common method to lure people over 70 years is that the scammer calls and wants to be let in, reports TV4 News.
The police have investigated the 1553 notifications made by older people who have been deceived in the last year. Most common is that the scammer claims to need to come in to check the water and sewage. In some cases, calling the impostor before the visit, and says it wants to upgrade the TV equipment or pay out lottery winnings.
