Often the elderly who die of cervical cancer – Dagens Medicin

In the current study, published in the British Medical Journal, says British scientist that 449 of the women died of cervical cancer between 2010 and 2012 were 65 years or older, while only seven were 25 years or younger.

The researchers therefore believe that the screening there should be extended until the women is 70 years old.

In Sweden women are called regularly to gynecological smear tests, called screening, but only up to the age of 60.
