– It’s very mild in the air with temperatures above freezing along the coast of Norrland. The problem is that the temperature of the road surface is on the minus side and then you can be surprised by slipperiness, says Lisa Frost, meteorologist at SMHI.
During the morning hours is been several traffic accidents around the country because of the slipperiness. In Stockholm, police learned of the 22 accidents during the morning rush hour, and as far south as in Norrköping reported avåkningar because of slipping.
Transport Administration invites all to be out on the roads to be careful.
– It is very important that all road users taking into account road conditions, says Agneta Eklund, the press officer at the Swedish Transport Administration.
