After the autumn and winter’s refugee crisis can Löfven expect tough demands, particularly from the Left.
– Of course, we expect substantial changes in asylum policy, says Malmo chairman Daniel Sestrajcic.
When the government of last fall made up with the Alliance for a tighter immigration policy stood V outside.
Now the party has a chance to force Löfven to unravel some of those decisions.
the possibility must Left take, believes the party Malmo Department. Therefore, they have sent letters to the party and Jonas Sjöstedt.
The words are harsh: “We can not make up with a government that has the same rhetoric and logic as racists,” writes V in Malmo.
– Left Malmö’s members would be extremely disappointed and find it difficult to accept a budget deal without changes to asylum policy, says Daniel Sestrajcic.
Left Party’s budget together with Government began after the red-green election victory in 2014.
most of the party was, as party leader Jonas Sjöstedt, pleased with the party’s impact in the first state budgets.
Then came the refugee crisis. They led to the Government in two batches made up with the Alliance for tougher immigration policy – from temporary residence permits to identity checks and tougher rules for family reunification.
– the Social Democrats and the Green Party have gone far rightward during the turbulent autumn, says Sestrajcic.
Now outrage great within the Left. At the party executive meeting in Stockholm last week, voices were raised that the party would not even sit down at the negotiating table with the S and MP.
A majority agreed, however, that despite everything going into discussion with the government – but make tough requirements.
the line advocated also in the letter from the Left Party in Malmo.
– We can not accept that the policy is spent wrong way. Our members require a better migration policy to accept it, says Daniel Sestrajcic.
It is mainly some parts of the bloc refugee settlement as the Left hopes to get away : the extended rutavdraget and YA jobs without collective agreement, which both aim to create more simple jobs. And the decision to relax a refugee opportunity to obtain permanent residence for job and income.
But the Left Malmo is aiming not only to change the migration and integration policies.
– We can not accept a economic policies that do not address the major inequalities. The required tax increases. And it requires that the state borrows more powerful investments in welfare, says Daniel Sestrajcic.
For Prime Minister Stephen Löfven and Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson – who leads the Red-Green negotiations – then wait a tough fight.
While the Green Party there is widespread dissatisfaction with the tougher refugee policy spokespersons Åsa Romson and Gustav Fridolin felt compelled to join in the fall.
Many grass roots within MP would like Left tear up the immigration agreement.
