One dead after knife fights on asylum accommodation – Aftonbladet

A man has died and three have been injured after a knife brawl in an asylum accommodation in Ljusne.

– One person died on the way to hospital, said Christer Nordström at police.

the police have stormed asylum accommodation and now brought out three men.

Many people will of unclear reason to have started brawling in an asylum accommodation Ljusne, outside Söderhamn. The fight must have escalated when one of the people pulled a knife or other sharp object.

One person died and three people, 15-25 years old, have been injured in the fight.

– the person died apparently in a private car when it was about to drive him to the hospital, says Christer Nordstrom, spokesman for the police.

Now the police will investigate the incident as murder and morförsök.

People brought in for questioning

at 22 o’clock had been living in the area were evacuated and police stormed a stairwell, which is part of the asylum accommodation, with additional protection, automatic weapons and shields, writes the Hälsingland. Some police officers will also have to climb onto a balcony.

– We have been able to pick up three men from the apartment. Now they will be heard and then we will see if there is any suspicion of crime.

Since the former is a younger man arrested after the fight.

– He is suspected of any involvement regarding the murder or attempted murder but I do not know more than that.

unclear motives knife fights

it is still unclear how many people were involved in the altercation and why it occurred, but it must have occurred outside asylum accommodation. Police have so far no motive to knivskärningarna.

– There is still a lot of questions we have not answered. Since we have to connect interpret it will be a while before we know, says Christer Nordström.

The alarm was added at 15 o’clock to the police and none of the staff have been injured. The three men who knife wounded could during the evening to leave the hospital when they received only minor injuries.

At 23 o’clock reports Aftonbladet’s reporter on the scene that the police removed the barricades and that it is quiet at the site.



Do not get hold of the police

Migration Board Head of unit at the receiving unit in Söderhamn, Lars Ulander, has no further information about the sequence of events when he is not got hold of the police throughout the evening.

– I’ve called the police several times, last time I sat on hold for 23 minutes and did not arrive, even though I introduced myself and what it was about, he says.

Lars Ulander says he sent a team leader and two staff accommodation to asylum in order to form an opinion on the situation and see what you can do to help. Another accommodation is on call to help with location if needed.

Have there been unrest in the asylum accommodation before?

– No, not at all.

What did you think when you heard the news?

– I thought, “damn if I’ll be honest. We had been planning days on Thursday and Friday, and then I said indeed that “we should be pleased that it has happened elsewhere in Sweden has not happened here in Söderhamn and Ljusne” and then it happens here. It is incredibly unfortunate and very sad.
