Crashed mail aircraft crew have been identified – Sveriges Radio

After the crash, which occurred in early January, found traces of remains at the crash site, west of Lake Akkajaure. The police’s primary task has been to establish the identity of the crew who were on board the aircraft.

The forensic department of Forensic Medicine now has the identity of both crewmembers been established. The families of those fatalities are informed, police said in a press release.

The area closest to the crash site is cordoned off and Jokkmokk municipality has decided on a temporary snowmobile in the area.

The aircraft, a Canadair CRJ 200, was on its way by post from Oslo to Tromso when it sent the mayday and shortly thereafter crashed in the mountains.
