Police accentuates the barricades at Göta Court of Appeal – Göteborgs-Posten

Göta Court of Appeal in Jönköping bomb threat on Monday morning. The building was evacuated. But police bomb group found no suspicious objects. Now closures argue.

At 13 o’clock was lifted police roadblocks at Hovrättstorget and nearby streets. It happened after the technician and a dog by the police bomb group in Gothenburg ransacked both court and the Administrative Court premises. Some suspicious object was not found.

– We have searched the premises and also looking outdoors without finding anything, say communicator Linda Wängström, Jonkoping police.

The Court of Appeal’s security Camilla Brännström says that right now return to normal activities.

– Some negotiations, we can achieve, after all, she says.

It was just before 9:00 am police were alerted about a bomb threat against the Göta Court of Appeal on the Baltic . One person had then called to the emergency and raised the threat.

During the morning evacuated the Court of Appeal and nearby Appeal was emptied of staff. The planned talks were canceled.

In addition sealed off an area around the court of appeal, including Hovrättstorget and surrounding streets. A dozen police patrols protected area. Later in the morning arrived the police bomb group now completed its work.

Parallel police began to investigate whether there was any lawsuit that could be linked to the bomb threat.

Some suspect apprehended?

– Not that I know of. We are now entering an investigative mode and will conduct several interviews in order to see which ones underlying threat, says Linda Wängström.

Just over a week ago, there was a massive explosion in Malmö. Witnesses heard the blast several kilometers away, and the material damage was great.

The police suspected that the attack was directed against the district court and believed that the act could be an act of revenge against the judiciary from criminal groups. It was the second attack in years against the law in Malmö.
