Family had to evacuate fire ravaged the house – Göteborgs-Posten

There was a dramatic Christmas morning for a family in Ulricehamn. They were woken by neighbors when their house was in flames.

Just before 06 on Christmas Day were police and fire departments in Ulricehamn alarms at a villa at Fridhemsgatan hill in Ulricehamn.

One of the neighbors had discovered that there was a fire in the facade of the villa.

The smoke was sharp and very quickly became a large part of the house on fire.

The four people who were in the house managed to get out safe and sound, but shocked.

– They have inhaled some smoke and was assisted by our staff but no one needed to be taken to hospital, said Ingemar Svensson, Chief of Staff of the Southern Älvsborgs rescue league, Boras Newspaper.

The fire is believed to have started at a votive placed at the front door.

– Then fire is burning in the facade and up to the attic, says police spokesman Christer Fuxborg.

The house has received extensive fire and water damage.
