ESLÖV. On Tuesday evening held a rally at Stora Torg in Eslöv after Monday’s arson attack on the mosque.
And Eslövs mayors Johan Andersson (S) says that now requires more work on values.
The councilor Johan Andersson ( S) was shocked when he found out the fire.
– The first reaction when I received a call was angry, upset and sad and then obviously worried. It was an attack that occurred on the premises but also against a building where people have their home and therefore exposes them to danger, he says.
He thinks to is an important collaboration between multiple stakeholders who now stands before them.
– It is a common set of values work in which everyone has a responsibility, political parties must stand up for human rights and be clearer with the values found in Sweden, says Johan Andersson.
The rally on Tuesday is called We call security! and organized by the group Together for Eslöv.
– It’s not the first time this has happened, now enough is enough, says Rebekah Barjosef, coordinator of the manifestation.
The clock 18 on Tuesday evening, they will gather in the square with banners and placards.
– People feel extremely insecure and that’s not acceptable. Sweden does not stand for such a social climate. All that exist in society should feel safe and welcome, says Rebekah Barjosef.
Fire attack has outraged many, even Sweden Democrats in Eslöv has drawn attention to the event on their Facebook page where they write that the event is “deeply tragic.”
