The Awakening on Christmas Day became dramatically for a family in Ulricehamn.
It was just before six when half the villa was on fire.
The smoke was thick but the four that were in the house managed to escape and get to safety.
– The inhaled some smoke and was assisted by our staff but no one needed to be taken to hospital, said Ingemar Svensson, chief of staff at Southern Älvsborgs rescue league, Boras Newspaper online.
The fire is believed to have started at a votive who stood at the front door.
The house was extensively both fire and water damage.
