There are more people who are in favor of the Christian Democrats new immigration proposals than who dislike the initiative. Most positive Alliance voters.
A measurement that Sifo done for Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet shows that 43 percent think that the proposals are very or fairly good. Almost one third, 30 percent, think that the proposals are very or fairly poor, while 27 percent are undecided or do not know.
– Here, there are many who are undecided but it’s still a slight preponderance of those who is positive, says Toivo Sjörén, opinion manager at Sifo, to SvD.
Although it is unclear how familiar the respondents are in the proposals, so the result shows that the opening lead has had an impact, he stresses.
Alliance voters are most positive about KD proposals for including reduced subsidies and temporary residence permits. Among alliance voters are six of ten positive and only 12 percent negative. Among the red-green voters is 17 percent positive and 58 percent negative. Among the Sweden Democrats’ voters think 89 percent of the proposals are good.
The survey was conducted December 19 to 22, and based on interviews with 1,239 people who were asked the question: What do you think about the Christian Democrats initiatives in immigration and integration issues?
