Just after 13 on Christmas Day broke a severe fire in a room of Nyforsgatan in Eskilstuna used as a mosque. Some 20 people were in the room, and five have been taken to hospital; one with serious injuries.
According to police, the fire was landscaped and a preliminary investigation of aggravated arson has begun.
A few hours after that the fire started, the facebook page “NO THANK YOU! To mosque in Sweden” up a photo of a fire ravaged the premises with the comment “Good continuation …” and a link to an article about the fire.
In the introductory remarks during the post hailed the suspected arson. Later, however, comments condemning the tribute and the fire flowed in.
On Social Media is the abomination of the group posts strong criticism grows. Among other things, writes a signature on twitter: “Noting that the same people who hate Islamist terror are those who espouse fire attack on a mosque in Eskilstuna. Hypocrites”.
“It’s disgusting that there are people who espouse the arson against the mosque in Eskilstuna. The extreme right is undeniably more and more radical,” writes another.
Omar Mustafa Chairman Islamic Association in Sweden, disconnect Thursday’s fire to previous attacks against Muslims and mosques in Sweden.
– There has been an intensification of hatred against Muslims. It has gone from words to action, he says to TT, and lists a number of previous deeds:
