Löfven: Will no extra election – Aftonbladet

My choice is set, the message Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) at a press conference today.

Instead, sits the current Government will remain.

Red-Greens and the Alliance has reached what they call a “December agreement.”

The Social Democrats, Green Party, Moderate Party, the Centre Party, Liberal Party and the Christian Democrats held on Saturday morning a joint press conference .

Where announced Stefan Löfven that extra election, which would formally be announced early next week and held in March 2015 will not happen.

Agreed governance

for the six parties have reached a settlement which they call “December Agreement”.

– We need across block boundaries to agree on how the country should be governed stable and energetic, said the Centre Party leader Annie Loof at the press conference.

The deal comes modalities for Sweden to be controlled; that the prime ministerial candidate backed by the largest party coalition will be presented and that you come to the rules for how a minority government should get through their budget.

– It stretches over two terms, to Election Day 2022, says Stefan Löfven .

The agreement means that the opposition parties in the deal, will abstain in future budget referendums, starting this spring.

– It is very good that from April onwards, through our politics, says Stefan Löfven.

“Continued strong opposition”

The agreement does not mean that the alliance parties are no longer in opposition.

– We in the alliance will continue to be a strong opposition, says Anna Kinberg Batra (M).

Regarding pensions, defense and energy issues has been agreed that one should cooperate across block boundaries, although it has not yet been agreed in substance . For example, the work of the working group on pensions as soon as possible to continue and, starting in February, all the parties that signed the agreement to participate in an Energy Commission.

While stating Sweden Democrats party leader that the party will submit a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Stefan Löfven .

The Left, which was informed of the agreement previously, welcomes the news of the day.

– The Left did not seek additional choice, we have always wanted to implement the budget that we and the government negotiated until that contains a series of urgent reforms that reduced taxes for those with low pensions, investments in long-term care and better conditions for single parents, says party leader Jonas Sjöstedt, in a press release.
