Several traffic accidents led to the stop on E4 at the height of Tierp on Sunday.
A total of nine cars involved in three accidents. Nine people were taken to hospital and the traffic was a long time still.
According to police, there is black ice on the road.
Shortly after 11 am on Sunday got the police and the emergency alarm if a major accident on the E4 level with Tierp.
– There is a kökrock with seven cars involved, says Magnus Andersson, lead operator at Stockholm’s rescue.
The accident occurred in the southbound direction and caused long queues on E4.
Seven people, including a child, were taken to hospital, police said on its website. Injury Situation is still unclear.
Two further accidents
More accidents followed the road, where, according to police is black ice.
12:58 there was a single vehicle accident in the northbound direction. Two people were taken to hospital with injuries unclear.
13:37 came the next alarm when a car crashed into a railing in the same area. The accident did not result in any injuries.
At 14:30 rolled traffic without any major problems.
