Some fifteen people were evacuated in connection with a fire in a residential building on Fridhemsgatan in Ystad late Tuesday night.

But no one was injured, said Peter Martin, duty officer at the Malmö police

The evacuees have been transferred to the sports facility Österporthallen. Emergency services from several stations fought the fire that should have begun on the top floor of the house.

At half one o’clock the fire was extinguished and under control, and after fighting began. What caused the fire is unclear.
