The priest sentenced to 2.5 years in prison – UNT

The priest has been charged with ten cases of sexual abuse of a confirmation in the spring. All events have been grouped under the rape of children.

The minister has acknowledged, through his defender attorney Roger Hägg Quist, that he was guilty of sexual exploitation of children, but has denied that he should have exposed some of rape.

– Reciprocity and volunteerism has characterized the sexual acts. In addition, the plaintiffs in the deed moment almost turned 15, which is why our objections, explained Roger Hägg Quist when the trial began in early December.

The prosecutor has previously said that any other classification than rape is excluded. She believes that the priest used the konfirmandens defenseless position and abused its own position of trust as a priest.

The priest was arrested in early November and has since been detained.

Suspicion has shaken the Swedish Church in Uppsala pins. Several complaints have been submitted to the Chapter, with the requirement that the man should get rid of the right to exercise the priesthood.
