An extensive signal error between Katrineholm and Norrköping caused delays in train traffic on Monday morning.
The stretches from Stockholm and south, and even train from southern Sweden to Stockholm, was affected by the signal error.
SJ ruled on traffic through Nykoping earlier on Monday in anticipation of a forecast from the Swedish Transport Administration. The delay was about 30 minutes.
– So far it looks pretty good, but if the repair is delayed when it becomes a more intense rush, then it can get crowded on the tracks, said Dan Olofsson, Information on SJ’s press office earlier in the morning.
Repairers corrected signal error just before at nine o’clock. What caused the error is still unclear, says Transport Administration.
