Refused to shoot threatened with deportation Mary – Aftonbladet

The protest against the deportation of two years Mary has involved numerous people throughout Sweden.

When the photographer Martin Karlsson was asked to take the girl’s passport photo he refused.

– I do not want to be part of her deported, he said.

In two years, Maria, whose family fled to Sweden from Armenia, lived at home the family Marklund in Piteå.

Maria has never been in Armenia, do not speak the language – but should nevertheless be deported along with their parents.

– The problem is that the biological parents are not feeling well and can not take care of their children, dad Jens previously told Aftonbladet.

Mary’s fate has engaged local politicians, Swedish church, Save the Children, and other organizations.

– It is completely insane and an obvious violation of the CRC and Swedish legislation. She is almost three years and has lived his entire life with this family, that’s all she knows. To snatch her up to in all probability end up in an orphanage in Armenia, it is cruel, inhumane and not worthy of Sweden, Maria’s lawyer Marcus Sandstrom said earlier.

The latest in a series of protests from the photographer Martin Karlsson on Photo Service Piteå who were asked to take pictures of Maria to her passport.

– It was the girl’s foster mother who was inside with her and wanted to take passport photos. I knew of course recognize them from the newspapers. The girl cried and was tired. I felt that this is the worst I’ve been asked to do, he says.

Martin Karlsson told the family that he could not take the picture.

– I do not want to be involved in her deportation and told me I could not take the picture. They understood the course, he says.

Martin Karlsson has followed in reporting about Mary and is clear about his view on the issue:

– It sucks.
