The Interior Minister Anders Ygeman (S) says it has happened in Eskilstuna:
– It’s disgusting, it’s unacceptable and it is an area where society must sharpen their actions. We are not doing enough to manage to protect regardless of whether it is a mosque or other religious communities.
– This is why we are already in the Statement of Government said that we want to work against hate crimes.
TT: You will immediately begin to talk about hate crimes, but we know at present that this was so?
– No, currently we do not know, but Police have confirmed that it is arson and it is clear that we should wait until we know it’s there. But even if it should turn out that this particular event is not a hate crime, there has been a number of other events that has been very serious.
On February 27 presents the results of the hate crime investigation launched by the previous government appointed .
– This will take a number of proposals that we consider, says Ygeman.
