Christmas Eve with snowstorms and ice – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

– In most of the country there will be a fairly good weather, says Ibrahim al-Mausawe, meteorologist at SMHI.

Over the northern mountains expected some snowfall. But in southern Norrland, Svealand and large parts of Götaland looks pretty stable out before Christmas Day.

– It becomes almost clear weather and freezing temperatures.

However, there can be some snow in southern Sweden during the day.

– It is a bit iffy, but locally it may become excessive snow in southern Skåne, says Ibrahim al-Mausawe.

Anyone who ventures out into traffic during Christmas Day should take extra care in southern Sweden.

In Skåne, Blekinge and southern parts of Ohio there is a risk of local ice in the morning and during the day. Gotland is a risk of local snöhalka, according to Transport Administration slip prognosis.
