– It may have helped, it’s hard to say. But the child was sick and had surgery for an intestinal malformation. That was the main reason that the child later died, said Marie Ekberg, chief physician at Skåne University Hospital, said.

The other kids recovery and new healthcare procedures have been developed. The cause of the spread of infection by MRSA in the ward is deemed to be cramped and outdated facilities, and to some extent also the staffing situation.
