Total stop for trains between Nässjö and Alvesta – Aftonbladet

An accident has caused a complete halt to all rail traffic between Nässjö and Alvesta. The shutdown did that, among other things, the traffic between Malmö and Stockholm was heavily delayed.

– That may take up to two hours, said Denny Josefsson, the press officer at the Swedish Transport Administration.

Shortly before 12 o’clock alerted police to the city in Småland, where a person was hit by a train.

Train traffic on the south main line between Alvesta and Nässjö turned off completely during the rescue and police work. It is still unclear when traffic will resume. Among other affected train services between Malmö and Stockholm

– That may take up to two hours. There will be a lot of delays, says Denny Josefsson.

SJ says that seven train departures affected by the shutdown.

– We expect a time interval of two hours, says Peter Hellström, the press officer at SJ.

At 14:30 o’clock opened tracks for traffic again.
