Police and emergency services were alerted at 21:27 by an unknown person who told me that someone threw in a backpack during a parked car on Elin Wagner Street in Uppsala district Nyby.
– The police have been to the scene and found in a backpack as it said “bomb”, says Christer Nordstrom, press spokesman at Uppsala police.
In connection with the discovery called the police bomb group from Stockholm in and the area around the car park was cordoned off. Many of the residents were also to leave their homes.
– We have begun the evacuation of a number of residents in the neighboring area of this park said Christer Nordström.
The municipality opened Bremer School where residents had to spend the night and at 23:30 pm on Friday night was the bomb group in place and commenced its investigation of the case.
At 02 o’clock, the night of Saturday, the situation was unchanged and the police kept still to evacuate additional residents. The time was 3:20 evacuation completed, and about 300 people had to leave their homes.
Early Saturday morning, clock 05:30, the police could report that the suspected bomb was disarmed.

The reason for the bomb threat knows the police have not yet.
– So far it has not received any known threats directed at any person, says Christer Nordström.
There is no suspect the offense is classed as an aggravated assault. A witness must have seen a person throw in your backpack in the car without being able to leave something useful description.
