“I will never act in a way that gives power over the country’s development into a neo-fascist Single-issue politics that neither respects human diversity or Sweden’s democratic institutions.”
“I will never act in a way that gives power over the country’s development into a neo-fascist Single-issue politics that neither respects human diversity or Sweden’s democratic institutions.”
writes Prime Minister Stefan Löfven in Dagens Nyheter today, Saturday. He argues that government formation after the elections in September was based on a fundamental requirement from both his and the bourgeois parties side – the Sweden Democrats would follow parliamentary practice.
“Sweden Democrats’ statement on Tuesday meant not only that they voted down this government’s budget. They say they will shed any government that does not adapt its policies after them. This means that they break their promises to the voters, practices in the Swedish parliament and tries force to a power that is not in proportion to their mandate. We thus find ourselves in a new and very worrying situation in Swedish politics, “writes Stefan Löfven the article in Dagens Nyheter on, and argues for more cooperation and less block political thought.

In what seems to be a concerted social democratic attack on the Sweden Democrats went Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson on Friday in an interview with TT and sharpened the tone against the Sweden Democrats:
- Here we have a small neo-fascist party that believes that they will have a decisive influence and set the agenda for Swedish politics, she said.
She believes in the interview that the only way for “reputable, established” parties to exclude the Sweden Democrats from power is to cooperate. When asked about why she believes that SD is a neo-fascist party, she replies:
- It’s a party that does not stand for the basic values that all people are equal now raises his voice and want to dictate the terms of Swedish politics. I take very seriously at it.
Andersson’s name of the Sweden Democrats as a neo-fascist party was commented on Friday both of the party’s press officer Martin Kinnunen, and of the acting party leader Mattias Karlsson.
- It is ignorant, rude and unworthy of the State Council, said Mattias Karlsson said.
Martin Kinnunen says to DN that he is not surprised.
- Magdalena Andersson is one of those people who find it most difficult for the Sweden Democrats and never greets representatives of our party, never look anyone in the eye and are not even interested to respond when spoken to. There is a person who certainly heartfelt hate our party, says Martin Kinnunen.
