The hot weather has claimed four lives in drowning accidents – in less than 24 hours.

On Saturday night, drowned 12-year-old boy at a swimming area in Garpenberg.

– The boy was bathed by some acquaintances who discovered that he was missing, said Tom Andersson, duty officer at the police in Dalarna.

Summer weather has taken off with high temperatures and bright evenings. But in the wake of the holiday and the heat is badolyckor and drowning. In the last days, four people have drowned.

12-year-old died after badolycka

At 18 o’clock on Saturday night were the emergency services and the police to a bath in Garpenberg, east of Hedemora.

According to Aftonbladet, the boy had been playing in the water and then disappeared.

– They gave him CPR in the ambulance, says Torbjörn Wåhlin.

The boy ran to Falun Hospital, but at eight forty-five o’clock on Saturday evening it became known that 12-year-old died of his injuries.

80-year-old died after the incident

At 17:25 police were alerted by SOS for a badolycka in Vaxsjön in Bollnäs. A man in his 80s would take an evening dip. But a bit out of the lake he cried and disappeared under the surface.

Both the families of the husband and neighbors were present and heard his cries. And when he came to the surface again, they managed to pull him up on a raft, according to emergency services in southern Hälsingland.

Once in the country they started cardiopulmonary resuscitation to ambulance arrived and took the man to Bollnäs hospital.

But at 19:15 o’clock forced medical staff said that the 80-year-old man did not survive the accident.

30-year-old’s death in Halland

The police in Halland received alarm from the lake Seagull northeast of Varberg at 14:40 on Saturday.

– A man born in 1984 has swum with peers. Somehow it happened that he did not manage to keep themselves above water, says Johan Johansson.

The man’s friends tried to help him – but failed.

– He has gone under the surface and disappeared.

Police, ambulance and divers were sent quickly to the scene. After an intense sökinsats found the man under water by divers at 16:29.

– In three and a half meters deep, about a hundred meters out. This is a large lake, says Johan Johansson.

Despite the rapid cardiopulmonary resuscitation effort was the man’s life can not be saved.

The deceased man lived in an asylum accommodation that is near sea.

Drowned in the limestone quarry

The clock 22:40 on Friday evening was a 25-year-old man and bathed with friends at a new bathing at a limestone quarry outside Nyköping.

According Södermanlands Nyheter was the man and swam along with some friends. After a while they noticed that 25-year-old not been seen in a while and sounded the alarm to SOS. When Rescue divers arrived on the scene they found the man after four minutes of applicants.
