A priest in Luleå has been notified to the cathedral chapter of the diocese, following in his blog describing himself as homophobic and Islamophobic.
One of the complainants is Maria Johansson Berg (S), chairman of the parish council in Lulea Cathedral Parish, who believe that the priest damaging confidence in the Swedish church.
– Priests and others to work with confidence and dignity. It becomes absolutely impossible if one starts acting like this person has done, she says to the Norrbotten Courier.
In his blog writes Priest “in these Pride Times” that he “undoubtedly” is homophobic . “What qualifies me is that I believe that a marriage can only be entered into by two persons of different sex.” He is also “absolutely” Islamophobic because “Jesus gives a truer picture of God than Mohammed.” He continues then with the ironic term itself that includes Skellefteå AIK fob.
In another post, he writes that he never celebrates Mass with ordained women.
