A pilot who was on sick leave for depression, from another job, still got work as a pilot.
A Swedish pilot who for three years has been on sick leave for depression, from his work in another profession, still got to fly and work as a pilot. Only when the task was recognized for Transport Agency, he was stopped from flying, reports SVT.

The pilot has worked on a freelance basis for a foreign shipping companies the past two years, after the Transport Agency had given informed that the pilot had valid flight documents and therefore counted as fully healthy to get flying.
It was only when SVT got in to the Agency by the Authority drew the pilot’s medical certificate.

The authority will now investigate whether also to withdraw the pilot’s pilot license.
The co-pilot who caused the plane crash with Germanwings Planet earlier this year to have suffered from depression.
