Fire broke out in a crematorium – Vasterbotten Courier

A wall between the crematory oven and chimney at Woodland Cemetery in Jönköping caught fire.

– We had to take down three meters by four meters of the wall to prevent fire spread, said input command Jerker Sture Dahl at the emergency services in the Jönköping said.

But krematorieelden did not extinguish. It extinguished itself, so to speak, by properly performing acquisitions.

The fire started overheating. Overheating in turn was due to the regular chimney fans had stopped and premises rökfyllts.

– This meant that the temperature rose very rapidly and ignited the wall.

– Everything is now under control, but we will have after watch during the night, says Sture Dahl.
