Two men, a 45 year old Arlövsbo and a 39 year old man from Staffanstorp, was arrested Wednesday morning by Lund District Court on probable cause suspected of aggravated kidnapping.
The 39-year-old man is also suspected of two counts of rape, robbery and attempted kidnapping. The victims were interrogated but the prosecutor Pernilla Åström want in the current situation does not go out with more details of the case.
– We have received a lot of details but there is nothing that we intend to disclose now, it’s too early in the investigation . There are very many people to be heard and it is very important that not a lot of information becomes public because then the evidence we receive late worth less, she says.
The two men are suspected of having abducted the women and kept them locked up in an apartment in Staffanstorp during the 24th and 25th of July. The men were arrested in Staffanstorp Saturday after neighbors raised the alarm to police.
The 45-year-old man deny the charges but the 39-year-old’s attitude is not known when the prosecution requested closed doors early during his detention hearing. This is so that those involved will not be able to keep track of each other’s data.
Another person is suspected of involvement in the case, the case of a woman in her 80′s who is also the 39-year-old’s mother . The prosecution has not asked for her detention.
– There is not sufficient warrant reasons but there are sufficient grounds for suspicion, says Pernilla Åström.
