Family rescued last night from Kebnekaise – Sweden’s Radio

A man and three children could with the help of Alpine mountain rescue and police helicopters brought to safety at two o’clock in the night.

At 18 o’clock on Monday evening alerted a man in his 40s police via cell phone and told me he was stuck on Kebnekaise’s western side along with three children aged 10, 16 and 17 years.

At 20 the time, the police decided to initiate a mountain rescue effort.

Shortly before 01 o’clock, the family had been located and begun to be rescued by helicopter. An hour later the whole family was safe, unharmed but somewhat cooled, according to police.
