The Left wants to add 250 million dollars on a summer support vulnerable children. There will be a requirement in negotiations with the government on the autumn budget.

“Sweden will become a country without child poverty,” said Jonas Sjöstedt.

The 250 million will fund activities that municipalities organize for children during the summer holidays.

One condition is that the municipalities use the money to expand its range of available children. The aid must be specifically directed to the municipalities with many families living on income support.

 
        
             
     
     
 

– Now we will take this into budget negotiations with the government. This is part of a strategy for Sweden to become a country without child poverty, says Jonas Sjöstedt, on a press conference in Almedalen on Saturday morning.
