Sevan has therefore decided to recall all size versions of the product that has been on the market since October 2014.

– We got to go out to the NFA found a allspice from Sevan of one of the people who fell ill, and that you analyzed it, and received a positive response. That is why we now recall all allspice, to see if this is also contained in sealed packages and with other best-before date, says Julia Kronlund, Business Unit Manager at Sevan.

Allkryddan is made in Bosnia, and has been manufactured in Serbia. It is still unclear whether it is really the source of infection for the outbreak, but Julia Kronlund urge anyone who has an Sevan allspice home to dispose of it.

They work based on the hypothesis that the source of infection is common to all cases and to find the provtar to a large number of foods.
