The red-green majority in Malmo bursting. Left in the city voted this evening unanimously not to accept what they call an ultimatum from the Social Democrats and the Green Party in the budget negotiations.

The red-green majority has controlled Malmö since 2006. Now the Social Democrats and the Green Party to control further on your own hand. Left decided tonight that did not support the two parties’ budgetary requirements.

– We have been faced with the very strange situation that we have the cooperation and MP, and S sets ultimatum before we even got to be with and negotiate. Our membership meeting has just unanimously decided that we will not stand for it. S and MP is clear that they go ahead with an own budget, says Hanna Thomé (V) to the DN.

The parliamentary state in Malmö, however, that S and MP do not need V to get through its budget.

– I think It is sad because we have developed a good working relationship for many years. But you do not see it so dramatically. We will have consensus on many issues, says Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh (S), Mayor, to Sydsvenskan.

Hanna Thomé disagree with her.

– We will certainly have consensus on some issues, but it sure is dramatically that they violate an agreement for cooperation in nine years. I must say I am surprised, but they gave us no choice. The big problem is the people of Malmö, which gets worse welfare and an inferior regime would say.

The Social Democrats and the Green Party has been together 27 of the 61 seats in the Malmö City Council. Alliance parties M and FP has 17 mandates together. Would they get the support of the Sweden Democrats with 9 mandates is S and MP still the greatest.

The Left has 6 seats and the Feminist Initiative the second
